Rehabilitative surfing for processing of trauma experiences

The perception that the sea is a source of mental health is being refined by both the public and recent studies. The article presents surfing as a rehabilitative tool for treating young people who are dealing with complex experiences from military service. The main ideas behind surfing are presented, as well as a breakdown of the various components in which rehabilitative surfing contributes to dealing with, and processing, service experiences and trauma.
