The human element in the largest and most special sailing events in the world that are currently taking place, the AMERICAN CUP, a traditional competition of the largest floating cruises in the world and the VENDEE GLOBE - the Earth's sequence in sequence by individual sailors. In the lecture we will briefly hear about the unique competitions and technologies in sailing, the physiological challenges facing the competitors and focus on the huge mental challenge of orbiting the Earth alone and the teamwork and difficulties in the AMEICAN CUP competition. In the lecture we will observe and refer to research from the field and interviews conducted by the lecturer himself with sailors from these competitions.
